“I really feel like they saved my life,” Susan Pruitt says of the care she received from the team at Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University.
After experiencing bladder infections all her life and finally seeking treatment, her doctor referred her to Augusta University and was soon diagnosed with bladder cancer. Despite 32 sessions of radiation and the cancer returning 8 months later, she says “it’s a true blessing” that she received treatment from a clinical research center so close to home. The treatment has decreased her tumor by 35 percent.
