Dunkin’ to support children’s hospitals for National Iced Coffee Day

Dunkin’ is kicking off the summer by celebrating National Iced Coffee Month in a big way – by supporting local children’s hospitals.

On Wednesday, May 25, local Dunkin’ franchises will donate $1 of every iced coffee sold at Augusta area stores to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, which provides grants to hospitals like Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

On May 11, local Dunkin’ representatives Peter Patel, franchisee, and Melissa Goulette, Field Marketing Manager, provided doughnuts, coffee and gift cards to the staff at Children’s.

“Children across our community are fighting illness that no child should endure, and we are honored to give back and bring joy to kids and their families at our local hospital,” Patel said.

The Children’s staff posed for pictures and thanked Patel and Goulette for their support.

“WE can do what we do without community support. This is so important to us because not only do we know our community is supporting us, but we work 24/7 and we need lots of coffee!” said Kim Basso, director of Children’s and Women’s Services at Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

Dunkin’, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants, has been ranked No. 1 in customer loyalty in the coffee category by Brand Keys for 15 years. The company has more than 12,600 restaurants in 40 countries worldwide.

The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation partners with food banks, children’s hospitals and nonprofit organizations to fund joyful environments and experiences for kids when they need it most. Since 2006, the foundation has granted more than $37 million to hundreds of charities across the country.
