AU Health has issued updated parking policies for employees, effective immediately.

Patient/Visitor Parking: Employees may park in the parking decks (BN, HC and BK) between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. If employee vehicles are still in the parking decks after 8:10 a.m. or before 5:30 p.m., they will receive a citation. Reserved Parking, Patient/Visitor Handicap Parking or any parking where a sign is located should never be used at any time unless it is reserved for the employee or employee-on-call. Employees should never park in Patient/Visitor parking under any circumstances between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. unless the employee is here for an appointment.

Employee Parking: Day shift employees must park in their designated employee parking lots only. This includes coming in for classes and/or meetings.

All night shift employees who come in before 5:30 p.m. must park in their designated employee parking lots. However, after 5:30 p.m., employees are free to move their vehicles to the decks, but are expected to move their cars to their designated employee parking lots by 8 a.m. Employees who are unable to move their cars by 8 a.m. should notify the Parking Office at 706-721-4227. Employees who park in the decks after hours should never be parked in Reserved Parking, Patient/Visitor Handicap Parking, or any parking where a sign is located at any time unless it is the person or persons on-call for those reserved spots.

Unregistered vehicles: All employees must register their vehicles. If a vehicle is not registered, citations will be issued. Employees who refuse to register will have to park in Lot 55 until their vehicle has been registered. There will be no exceptions.

ADA Employee Parking: All ADA employees must register their vehicles to receive a lot location. Employees who require ADA accessibility will park in employee areas designated for ADA. Employees should never park in Patient/Visitor ADA designated spaces.

Parking Decks: BN Deck: Employees that are assigned to this deck are allowed to park only on the employee designated side of the deck. Employees will no longer be allowed to go up on the patient/visitor side of the BN deck to access the employee side. Employees must have a badge to access parking in the BN deck on the employee side. If an employee does not have their badge to access the deck, they will have to park in Lott 55 until they can retrieve their badge for access. There will be no exceptions.

HC Deck: Employees assigned to the HC deck are allowed to park only on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors. Floors 1, 2 and 3 are designated for patients and visitors. Employees parked in the Patient/Visitor areas will receive citations. There will be no exceptions.

BK Deck: Employees assigned to this deck are allowed to park only on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The first floor is designated for Patients and Visitors only. Employees parked in the Patient/Visitor designated areas will receive citations. There will be no exceptions.
