Augusta University Health and Turner Construction – the Construction Manager at Risk – are committed to hiring local, minority and women-owned businesses to construct the Columbia County Hospital.
A local subcontractor/vendor outreach session will be held 4-6 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Columbia County Exhibition Center, 212 Partnership Dr. in Grovetown.
The project will include a 240,000-square-foot building on a 22-acre site that will include a helipad. The 100-bed hospital will also include a Level II Trauma Emergency Department, diagnostic services, surgical services and administrative services.
The project will also include an 11-acre site for a 92,000-square-foot medical office building and a connector to the hospital.
Construction is anticipated to start in 2023 with construction on the hospital and medical office building proceeding on independent schedules.
