The Merchants Association of Columbia County has named the Children’s Hospital of Georgia as the charity sponsor for the Spring Fair 2024.

As charity sponsor, proceeds from the fair will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

The Merchants Association of Columbia County helps support many charitable organizations and sponsors the Columbia County Spring and Fall fairs, the Martinez-Evans Christmas Parade, the Miss Columbia County Fair Pageant, the Ruby Lane/Terry Davis Memorial Classic Golf Tournament, and other community events. Mike Zapata, Fair Chairman for the Merchants Association of Columbia County, said, “We are very excited to be partnering with The Children’s Hospital of Georgia! The funds generated from this event will assist them in continuing their mission of helping children and families.”

The Children’s Hospital of Georgia is the second largest children’s hospital in Georgia, and the largest children’s hospital outside of Atlanta. Children’s is a member of the Children’s Miracle Network and provides the highest level of neonatal and pediatric intensive care, including a 24/7 pediatric emergency department, air and ground transport, and provides a wide range of general and complex care for children.

The fair will be held April 19-28, 2024 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds, 5462 Columbia Road. Gates will open at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $10 general admission, with ages 6 and younger free.
