McDonald’s at Children’s to close permanently

Breakfast sandwiches, pastries and meal items will be available until additional options are available, and food trucks will rotate every other Wednesday.

McDonald’s inside the Children’s Hospital of Georgia Lobby will close permanently Saturday, July 10th.

The Food and Nutrition Services Department will provide several additional options for guests and staff, including a special food cart in the Children’s lobby from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday – Friday. Guests will be able to purchase hot breakfast sandwiches, pastries and meal items such as Chick-fil-A and Simply To Go specialty salads and sandwiches. Additional options will be added once the temporary food service operations relocates inside the McDonald’s space.

The Terrace Café will extend operating hours to include Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Smokeshow Southern BBQ and Luna Pizza food trucks rotate from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. every other Wednesday in front of the Health Science Building weather permitting. Opportunities to expand food truck options will be explored.
