The 21st annual iHeartMedia Cares for Kids Radiothon wrapped up at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 with a check presentation of $294,674 in donations and pledges – the largest in the history of the event.

Radiothon is the largest annual fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Georgia, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

Area iHeartMedia radio stations 104.3 WBBQ, 96.3 KISS-FM, 105.7 The Bull and television partners News 12/ NBC 26 joined forces for three days to support Children’s, asking their listeners and viewers to become miracle makers for the region’s only children’s hospital.

Donations help the hospital purchase items unique to caring for kids, among which this year are a game system that can easily fit over a patient’s bed and a Bili blanket that allows parents to hold newborns who are being treated for jaundice.

Pledges can continue to be made year-round by calling 706-721-4004, by emailing Catherine Stewart at castewart@augusta.edu, or online at caresforkidsradiothon.com.
