MCG/AU Health Interdisciplinary Patient Safety Grand Rounds: Hospice and Palliative Care

Join us for the next quarterly multidisciplinary Quality/Safety Grand Rounds: Hospice & Palliative Care – Crucial Conversations

The event will take place from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14.

If COVID-19 Community levels remain at medium or low this meeting will take place in the Lee Auditorium and via Microsoft Teams.  If Community COVID-19 Levels rise, this meeting will take place on MS Teams only.  CME and CNE are provided for this event.

This is a quarterly event jointly sponsored by AU Health System and Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University designed to inform our staff on up-to-date topics and advance the quality and safety of care we provide to our patients. We respectfully request that this Patient Safety Grand Rounds replace any regularly scheduled education conference. Healthcare providers of all disciplines are welcome to attend.

The panel of expert speakers will be:

•          Jeff Flowers, Director, Department of Spiritual Care
•          Jackson Elam, MD

Nurses participating in this educational activity will be awarded 1 contact hour upon completion of evaluation.

Augusta University Medical Center is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Accreditation – The Medical College of Georgia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
