Healing Arts Artist Spotlight for January 2023: Courtney Havrilla

Artist surrounded by paintings
Written by Lisa Kaylor

Each month the AU Heath Healing Arts Gallery features a community artist to share their talents with our AU Health guests and staff.

This month, we are proud to feature works by artist Courtney Harvilla. Courtney is an active-duty Navy personnel and nomad with a passion for exploration. She feels that art is one of the best media for expression that allows people to bring their most powerful moments and experiences to life on canvas. Driven by curiosity and empowered by the kindness of others, Courtney’s journey has often taken her to several corners of the world – all of which have uniquely inspired different aspects of her art. Ins haring these colorful and abstract works, Courtney hopes her paintings will provide individuals with a relaxing mental getaway.

Courtney Harvilla’s works will be on display until Jan. 30. The Healing Arts Gallery is located on the second floor of the AU Medical Center between the main hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

The Healing Arts Program is dedicated to promoting positive and inspirational healing through the arts. Proceeds from the Healing Arts Gallery benefit AU and AU Health volunteer programming and services like the Art Play Studio.
